Recently, we have been hearing more and more about artificial intelligence. What is AI? Well, artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science. It focuses on the creation of systems and machines capable of performing tasks requiring human reasoning. AI encompasses a variety of techniques, such as machine learning, neural networks or natural language processing.
One type of artificial intelligence is the Large Language Model (LLM). Its tools help in the analysis, generation and understanding of natural language. One of the most advanced LLMs is GPT-4 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4). Trained on huge text datasets AI tool generates smooth and consistent answers to a variety of questions. It has many applications, e.g. automatic text production or inter-language translation.
AI-powered recruitment raises many emotions, both positive and negative. Will AI help HR and recruiting teams select the best CV and recruit best talents? Will it take note of the candidate’s extensive experience? Or will it turn out, however, that the human factor will be necessary at later stages of the process? What will interview look like?
Use AI in recruiting – what is CHAT GPT?
In March 2023 Chat GPT-4, the successor to Chat GPT-3, was launched. It provides a natural way of communicating, demonstrates the extraordinary creativity and growing capabilities of AI-powered tools. Importantly, it is also applied as one of the best AI recruiting tools! This recruitment software allows recruiters and hiring managers automate recruiting process. What can Chat GPT-4 do? As we said, it allows to automate many processes. Saves time. Can create an idea for an online business and help develop that business. In addition, AI is trained to create a website based on a simple sketch on a paper napkin. Using keywords, it will even write a lawsuit, for example! It finds the best candidates much faster.
Talking about ai-driven recruiting and the application of AI in the recruitment process, AI changes the role of human. Already the GPT-3 Chat has had extensive use in the hiring process. It was helpful in the initial screening of applications, communicating with qualified candidates, replacing hiring team in simple tasks concerning work at various stages of creating candidate database etc. This AI technology prompted how to create recruitment ads and messages to source candidates on LinkedIn. It was a great help for recruitment agencies. As we know, using traditional methods takes the longest time when doing these activities. Recruitment with AI help is much faster. Chat GPT-3 greatly streamlined the process of sourcing new top talent employees in the job market. AI recruitment is definitely much faster than before! In addition, it could create poetry and even had its own political orientation.
Can artificial intelligence replace humans in recruitment process ?
There is no denying it, artificial intelligence will help recruiters and automate many human activities. Use AI recruiting software will make recruitment processes faster. AI software will probably take over some of the tasks of UX designers. Of course, it will not replace them with full-size products, but it will certainly create the first, trial versions of various products using preset criteria. Let’s consider recruitment with AI help. Can AI help here too, or will it take over human tasks? Probably quite soon using AI in recruitment will become an everyday occurrence. The pre-selection of candidates and the acquisition of specific information about them will be handled by artificial intelligence. Of course, for a long time to come it will be up to humans to interpret the information gathered by AI and make the final qualification decision. In the future, these decisions will probably also be taken by AI for us.
A rather important question arises – should recruiters fear AI and its development? There is no denying it, for fear of losing their jobs, many people are avoiding AI. What is the threat to recruiters? Should they be afraid? What changes should they expect? Certainly, AI means access to innovative software and interesting tools that automate everyday, repetitive tasks. The first recruitment tools using GPT-3 are already being developed, with PrologueGPT being a good example. How does this application work? Simply link to the candidate’s LinkedIn profile and provide a job description. AI will prepare an appropriately personalized message to the candidate for the position. Soon, technologies such as PrologueGPT will be connected to automations that search and connect with candidates and clients.
Not so fast, however, in the position of recruiter, AI will completely replace humans. We have already written about it on our blog. This is because the key here is the fact that human fate is being decided. Certainly, full automation will extend much more quickly to professions where AI decisions do not determine human to be or not to be. There will also be an increasing number of AI operators, i.e. the use of AI in recruitment will result in a new human job.

Among the examples of the use of AI in recruitment and beyond, prompting certainly deserves attention. This is the ability to interact with AI. In order for the AI to carry out our command, the command must be properly communicated to the algorithm. Details in commands are essential. It is becoming increasingly difficult to recognize whether content has been created by a human or by artificial intelligence. This has to do with the development of artificial intelligence algorithms specializing in natural language. It is often enough to manually make a few corrections to the text proposed by GPT-3 to make it hard to distinguish from a human-written text.
The company that created and developed Chat GPT-3 is already working on GPT-4 also deals with the watermarking mechanism. The aim is to distinguish a text created by artificial intelligence from a text created by humans. Presumably, watermarking will involve creating text in such a way that characters or strings of characters appear in the text in a predetermined way. All in all, time to get rid of preconceptions about AI. AI-assisted text and other tasks will become more and more common. However, AI will also save a lot of our valuable time!
