The next on the list are Paris – 1,031, Krakow – 1,026 and Wroclaw – 860 female software engineering in statistics. Summing up, the number of female engineers is growing and there is still potential for further increasing their presence, especially in Western European countries.
In today’s world of technology the attempts to increase the number of female in the technology industry are extremely valuable. Women are creating more and more innovative solutions and founding startups. However, there is still a noticeable lack of women in management positions. Supporting and promoting diversity in technology teams to encourage more women to enter IT sector not only enriches the work culture, but also contributes to better development of products that reflect the needs of a wide range of users. Women make significant contributions within the industry working on various machine learning or artificial intelligence. They often work twice as hard as their male counterparts. Unfortunately, lots of women are less paid. Lots of case studies show that women in software engineering roles often face challenges that hinder them from realizing their full potential. Despite their often higher qualifications, skills and constant development they are still undervalued and their salaries are often lower comparing to male staff software engineers.
