Recruitment is and always will be an important task of an HR department in any organization. The results of a research carried out in Western Europe in the 2008 state recruiting as the most important priority for HR departments in the surveyed organizations. However those trends are changing and according to the same study half of the surveyed employers today as its primary objective mention strengthening employee engagement , and a third believes that the priority is the retention of employees. Recruitment has moved into the third place in the hierarchy of the tasks facing HR departments .
What are the reasons for such trends ?
On the one hand demographics, and therefore a lower birth rate , an aging population and a completely new approach to the world of the so-called Y generation that grew up surrounded by new , ever more advanced technology and continuous access to information. On the other hand, economic slowdown, which has a huge impact on the conduct of employees of both older and younger ages . Understanding of employee retention and implementation of reliable programs while maintaining the policy of sustainable recruitment will become the important future task for many employers.

Generation Y is said to be ambitious and achievement-oriented. They appreciate giving them a chance of self- development, both male and female Y’ers. Speaking of broadening the experience, it reminds me the quantity of female executives, which is amazingly lower than the male ones.
